Minnkota Health Project and Sacred Spirits are initiating a tobacco control project to reduce the harm tobacco use has on the Moorhead and Greater MN LGBTQ/Two-Spirit community.  Through group/personal interactions and surveys Minnkota and Sacred Spirits will develop a program to provide culturally relevant services to the LGBTQ community and the underserved communities of people of color that focus on their overall health, wellness and diversity.  This project will provide alternatives to smoking in the form of support groups which include a transgender support group, LGBTQ 12-step recovery group and a Two-Spirit talking circle with the collaborative work with Sacred Spirits – First Nations Coalition.
